Respecting one another is very important in our community. Respect means treating other people well, listening to them, and accepting their differences. In every community, people need respect so that they can live happily and peacefully together.

Today, there are some people in our communities who respect one another, but others do not do so. Some people greet and help their neighbours while others abuse and also ignore them. Sometimes children laugh at others because of their appearance, clothes, or mistakes. Some adults or parents also quarrel and fail to listen to their young ones or children.

There are many causes of disrespect in our communities. Some people are not taught good manners at home and they utter out bad words to their friends, anger, jealousy and misunderstandings also make people treat others badly. Lack of education about good behaviour is another cause.

Disrespect can cause many problems in the country even community. It can led to quarrels, hatred, fighting and division among people. children may become unhappy and lose confidence when they are insulted or bullied by others. Disrespect can also make people fear one another instead of working together to make our country a better place.

On my side, I want to see people respecting one another in our community as well as country. I want children to respect their parents, teachers, elders and friends. I also want adults to respect children and other members of community. I want people to use polite words such as “please,” “thank you” and “sorry”. We should listen when others are speaking and avoid insulting or laughing to one another. We should also help people who are in need and forgive one another when mistakes are made.

In conclusion, respecting one another can make our community and country peaceful, happy and united. On my side, I will start by respecting others and encouraging my fellow friends and students to do the same and believe that if every one respects one another, our community will become a better place for all of us.
