A Letter to My Future Self

My name is Kisibante Aaron, a 12-year-old boy who comes from a poor family in Uganda. For sure the world is waiting for me because I am going to help them. I want to be an important person who will benefit Uganda. Sometimes I am sent back home for school fees, which makes me lose hope, but when I go back I still have my dream of becoming a pilot. If God wishes, I will study until I successfully become a true professional pilot.

There are some of the reasons why I want to become a pilot in future.

Pilots are ever clean and smart. I am saying that pilots are ever clean because, according to my observation, I saw one day when I was at the airport, I saw pilots going to fly their aeroplanes. I was so happy and I decided to become a pilot in future.

Pilots are mostly God-fearing. That is to say that pilots love God because they do dangerous work. Suppose a pilot is possessed by demons and decides to kill more than two hundred people, which would be a national mourning. That is why I say that everyone should trust God in everything and you will be perfect.

Pilots have money. When an aeroplane is going to crash and the pilot has to rescue passengers, everybody in the aeroplane must follow the laws of Uganda for the pilot to be safe. When someone else in the aeroplane has died, that also makes me like being a pilot.

I want to compare this job with some jobs in Uganda and other countries like Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, etc. At first let me compare being a pilot with being a farmer. A pilot is ever smart when he or she is doing his or her work, but a farmer cannot do his or her farming while clean and smart because you have to catch in soil, which makes them dirty.

I also want to compare a pilot with a doctor. It is rare to find and hear that a pilot decided to kill people in a plane because he cannot survive; he or she has also to die. But a doctor can decide to kill four people in one day and no one knows. Even doctors can give wrong medicine and expired vaccines to people. That is why I like being a pilot more than other jobs in future. Thank you.
