The change I want to see is for every child to have a chance to go to school.

There is a boy I know called Mukisa Michael. He does not go to school. Whenever I think about this, I wonder what it would be like if he had the opportunity to sit in a classroom, learn new things and make friends.

I really like going to school. One of my favourite thing about school is making new friends. I have met many children at school whom I did not know before. We learn together, play together and help one another. I also enjoy learning new things because every day I discover something I did not know before.

I think every child should have this opportunity.

School is not only a place where we read books and answer questions. It is also a place where we learn how to share, live with other people. We learn how to share, listen, work together and respect one another. We also discover what we are good at and what we would like to become when we grow up.

I wish Mukisa Michael and other children who do not go to school could have the same opportunity.

If I could make a change, I would help children who can not go to school. I would like to see more schools in communities and more people helping children who need books, uniforms and other school materials.

I know I am still young, but I believe children can also make a difference. I can encourage my friends to love school and help other children when they need support.

One day, I hope to see Mukisa and every other child carrying a schoolbag, walking into a classroom and smiling because they are going to learn something new.
