Our African Schools Program

Our mission is clear: to give every child, living in remote locations and extreme poverty, the opportunity to learn, grow, and pursue their dreams.  We work closely with local communities to establish safe and conducive learning environments, fostering a sense of belonging and security for their children.

Consistency and Impact

Our African region maintains a dedicated fundraising campaign aligned with yearly goals that prioritize both quality and access, not simply reaching more children.  We focus primarily on students in remote communities and those attending our partner NGO schools.

Our Goals in Africa

Our goals are threefold and deeply rooted in our commitment to children's education and well-being:

Caring for Children's Education

Our primary goal is to support children in remote regions with access to education by providing the essential school materials they need to participate fully, with dignity, in the classroom.

Inclusivity
and Impact

Our commitment ensures that every child, regardless of religion, culture, or background has access to essential school materials, because educating all children is the foundation of lasting impact.

Regional
Inclusivity

Our commitment acknowledges that the greatest educational barriers exist in remote parts of sub saharan Africa, and we will grow responsibly to reach those who need support most.

Our Work

School Materials

Our primary mission is to ensure every boy and girl we support has the materials they need to succeed throughout the school year. Many children in the schools we support arrive without the basics—notebooks, pencils, rulers, crayons, and more.

Your Tax Deductible Donations to Dear Future are primarily invested to ensure children are enabled to succeed.

Getting Girls out of Shadows

Through our "Her Full Attendance!" program, we provide hygienic pads and menstrual education to girls in primary grades, deconstructing the shadows  surrounding menstruation and ensuring no more days are missed from school.

Trey Jr. Initial and Primary School

In collaboration with Smile I Stutter and Ms. Sara Daves, Dear Future launched a project to build a primary school in the Wakiso region of Uganda. This beautiful school opened in February 2023, offering education free-of-the-fear created by poverty, hunger, and traditional disciplinary punishment.

In Collaboration with the Unitive Justice Alliance, this school has created a beautiful environment to grow.

This school was endowed to The Namugga Mable Foundation in 2024, to learn more and support, visit their page here.

Empathy Children High School

In collaboration with our partner Empathy Children Initiative, Dear Future has joined the significant challenge of building a high school in Mayuge, Uganda where the traditional distribution of schools has severely limited access to high schools in remote areas, forcing children to walk many hours just to attend; as a result, many cease their education.

Our goal is to establish a Unitive Justice High School in this region, providing more than 300 students with the opportunity to pursue their academic goals.  To learn more and donate, visit our campaign here.
